Diana Ryall is a leading voice and advocate for Gender Equality in Australia. She promotes women achieving their career aspirations, and challenges men to examine their assumptions about women and their careers.

Diana was named one of the top 100 AFR Women of Influence in 2018.

In 2002, Diana founded Xplore for Success, a consultancy that specialises in educating and supporting professionals to achieve career and personal success. Over the past 16 years, more than 16,000 women have benefited from Xplore’s career development programs, including participants from organisations like American Express, CBA, Deloitte, Department of Commerce, GHD, Lendlease, Luxottica, KPMG, NAB and QBE. More recently Xplore has expanded its programs to include men.

Diana is committed to a number of charitable and philanthropic causes and for Dress for Success Sydney. As a breast cancer survivor, she supports the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and is a key spokesperson for International Women’s Day. Diana also mentors a number of businesswomen and entrepreneurs from around Australia.

From 1997 to 2001, Diana was Managing Director of Apple Australia — the first woman in Australia to lead an IT company. With Diana at the helm, Apple went on to win the Hewitt Associates annual ‘Employer of the Year’ Award.

From 2006 to 2009, Diana was the Vice President of CEW, a member-based organisation representing Australia’s most senior women leaders from the corporate, public service, academic and not-for-profit sectors. From 2005 to 2008, Diana developed and led the Chief Executive Women’s (CEW) Leadership Program.

In January 2010, Diana became a Member of the Order of Australia, AM, for her significant contribution to the education community, her commitment and support to the advancement of women, and her ongoing and wide-reaching charitable work.

Diana has twice been a NSW finalist in the Telstra Business Women's Awards (1999, 2014).

She is the author  several books on women in business, inclusion and leadership including: Got Your Back, The power of sponsorship to accelerate our career success, Inclusionary Leadership: wisdom from 18 Australian leaders, and Unexpected Women: women who have found their wings. Diana began her career as a high school maths teacher and a computer programmer after studying Mathematics and Science at University of Sydney.

Diana lives in Sydney with her husband Bill, and has two sons, two daughter-in-laws and six grandchildren — five of whom are girls.
